This is not your usual SQL Server User Group event. At SQL Social our aim is to give YOU the opportunity to meet with MVPs, well-known speakers, experienced professionals & industry experts and ask them about the data-related topics that matter to you. It is an opportunity to meet new people, make new friendships and find out what is going on in the data industry in Melbourne.

As we have mentioned at previous events, we want to encourage you to take your first steps as a new speaker. Helen Gross – R and Python Showcase

Helen Gross has 10+ years in the SQL/BI space mostly focusing on Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSAS and SSRS) with some PowerBI and more recently some ML.

She has worked across Health, Finance, Energy and Transport.

In SQL Server 2017, using Machine Learning Services we can now run both R and Python in the database.

In this session, Helen will demonstrate how this is done and focus on some use cases for each using some mind-blowing datasets.
